Documents that need to be uploaded:
1st Document Needed
If you File Taxes submit your: DC D-40 Tax Return (prior year)
If you DO NOT FILE Taxes: Submit 1 of the following Non-Tax Filers Document
12 Month Statement of January - December Prior year benefits (with no gaps in benefits).
TANF/SNAP/Food Stamps
Social Security Benefit/Disability Statement
Retirement/Annuity Statement
Child Support Statement
For Special Circumstances, students can submit:
McKinney Vento Homeless Letter/Unaccompanied Minor Letter
Ward of the Court Letter
2nd Document Needed
One of the following documents to serve as Proof of Residency. The document must have your parent's DC Address on it. Document must be within 45 days from the Day you turn the document into DCTAG
Current Utility Bill (Gas, Water, Cable, or Electric) - CANNOT USE a cell phone bill
Current Pay Stub (Name, Date, DC Address)
Notarized statement from the landlord on rental office letterhead saying utilities are included in rent
Current Bank or Mortgage Statement
3rd Document Needed for DC TAG - is your FAFSA SAR
To get your SAR (Student Aid Report) do the following:
Wait 2-3 days for it to get processed
Save a copy of your Student Aid Report

List of Participating DC TAG Colleges
Public Schools - qualify for up to $10,000 towards the difference between in-state and out of state tuition
Private HBCUs and DC Area schools - qualify for a $2500 scholarship.
