  • The Cadet Program is a one-year program that provides District of Columbia residents between the ages of 18 and 21 years old. Everyone gets trained as firefighter and EMT.

  • Driver's License or Provisional License or Learner's Permit at the time of the application

  • Be a DC Resident

  • Graduate from a DC High School

  • Complete background and reference check

  • Starting salary: $29,120
